|
The State Register is a weekly publication which provides public notice of the
status of rules as they move through the rulemaking process, giving citizens the

rule is considered. It also lists meeting notices, new orders and decisions,
rulemaking deadlines and other information.

Rule Making
|
Agencies propose administrative, procedural and legislative rules to put in effect
the details of the broader policies spelled out in law by the
Legislature. In West Virginia, making rules often involves a
lengthy process which begins following one legislative session and
does not end until after the close of the next year's regular
session. A complete step guide to rule making, filing schedules, exemptions and
forms are provided to assist agencies in this process.
